The areas we work in

Ruris stands out for the holistic, adaptable approach it takes to every project. We work across seven complementary areas, because the development of a territory rarely fits into just one.

The Service

A holistic and adaptable approach

Every territory and every project is unique. Before proposing a way forward, we begin by understanding the identity of the territory, its specialisation and the endogenous potential that has yet to be worked on. The seven areas below almost always intersect within the same project — which is why we work across all of them.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions

Do you only work on one of the seven areas at a time?
Rarely. Developing a territory almost never fits into a single area — a tourism project pulls in communication, an agri-food one pulls in entrepreneurship. That is why we work across all seven.
What does a 'holistic and adaptable approach' mean?
That we do not arrive with a ready-made solution. We begin by understanding the identity of the territory, its specialisation and the endogenous potential that has yet to be worked on, and only then do we design the strategy.
What kinds of territories do you work with?
Challenging territories, mostly low-density ones. That is where development is hardest, and where the difference between a well-read project and a generic one shows the most.
Can you support just one phase of the project?
We can. Some organisations come to us for the initial assessment, others already have the project approved and only need help with delivery. We adapt the scope to what is actually needed.

Do you have a territory to develop?

Tell us about the challenge. We read the territory and set out a possible way forward, with the funding sources in view.
