Entrepreneurship

Entrepreneurship in rural areas

We set up and run rural incubators, design capacity-building programmes and support those who want to start out — from the business plan through to placement and testing the idea.

The Service

From the idea to a business up and running

Two complementary strands: building the capacity of those starting out, and structuring the space where that happens.

Capacity building and business plan

  • Technical and economic studies and viability analysis
  • Financial analysis and profitability projections
  • Complete business plans (technical, strategic, market and financial)
  • Strategic plans with defined objectives and KPIs
  • Funding application dossiers (PT2030, PRR and regional programmes)

Rural incubators

  • Diversifying activities – rural tourism, local produce shops and events
  • Internationalisation, innovation and research
  • Negotiating with banks and securing funding
  • Support with setting up and managing the investment
  • Operations plan and supplier negotiation

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions

What is the Entrepreneur’s Workshop?
It is a capacity-building programme for people starting out in rural areas: from defining the idea to the business plan, taking in a placement and testing the idea before putting it into practice.
Do you run incubators or only design them?
Both. We define the concept and the strategy for rural incubators — physical or virtual — and we also run them, including the coworking space and the capacity-building programmes.
Can a business plan be used to apply for funding?
It can, and that is often the point. But a plan written only to support an application tends to stay on paper: what matters is that it describes a business that still works once the funding ends.
Do you work with individual entrepreneurs?
Yes, mainly through the capacity-building programmes and the incubators we run with municipalities and local development associations.
