Upskilling Agri-food SMEs: DES-AGRO-4.0
About the Project
The project set out to equip agri-food and agri-industrial SMEs to adopt business models based on the Internet of Things (IoT), through the generation, systematisation and dissemination of knowledge in the North and Centro regions. IoT-based technologies are cutting-edge tools, increasingly used and with proven effectiveness in boosting the competitiveness of agri-food and agri-industrial SMEs.
The actions carried out were:
- Assessment and mapping of technological innovations, through technical visits to the Douro Verde and Cova da Beira areas;
- Planning of international study visits to gather good practice;
- Preparation of innovation dossiers on the technical and economic model of the agri-food and agri-industrial sector;
- Support in organising activities promoting IoT (Internet of Things) applied to the agri-food and agri-industrial sector (conferences and technical talks).
