About the Project

The "APlikAr" project, developed by Ruris, set out to contribute to the sound application, monitoring and evaluation of rural development policy measures applied to the kiwi sector, to encourage participation and joint working across the sector and, above all, to transfer good practice and new technical knowledge so as to upskill those working in the kiwi sector and thereby support quality production. From the fast-moving digital world we live in, to climate change and market power, and given the needs of the farming sector, it is important to invest in actions with a strong impact on production by sharing best practice. The project therefore consists of a set of information activities covering a range of topics, in the form of short or medium-length in-person sessions, including field visits and/or conferences.

The actions carried out by Ruris were:

  • Preparation of the application:
    • Support in designing the project idea;
    • Compilation of the documentation required to submit the application in line with the call for applications;
    • Definition and description of the project's general and specific objectives;
    • Structuring and definition of the action plan and investment plan to be submitted;
    • Technical characterisation and justification of investment costs in line with the actions to be carried out and the quotations submitted;
    • Completion of the form and support with the submission of the application;
    • Support in responding to requests for clarification during the appraisal of applications by the Managing Authority.
  • Project management through the following actions:
    • Initial planning of the delivery of the project's activities;
    • Monitoring of project delivery and of compliance with the contracted indicators and targets;
    • Preparation of reports on the physical, financial and time-based delivery of the project and its activities;
    • Preparation of interim and final reimbursement claims.
