Active Economy in Douro Verde

Active Economy in Douro Verde emerged from the need to give proactive support to people who live and work — or want to live and work — in the Douro Verde territory (an area of low population density), with the aim of creating conditions favourable to new businesses in traditional sectors such as crop, livestock and forestry production, as well as in retail, industry and services.

This gave rise to a web platform which, rather than a simple website, is a tool bringing together economic information about the Douro Verde territory, aimed at entrepreneurs, business owners and investors.

Through its members' area, entrepreneurs receiving support under the “Active Economy” project can access a range of features and stay in direct contact with the coordinators, mentors and specialists involved.
