FOOD LAB: Rural Business Park

Green Valley set out to achieve global recognition of a region's brand as a green "Silicon Valley", harnessing its potential for developing rural activities, generating opportunities for companies to set up and, at the same time, creating jobs. Building on knowledge and innovation in rural areas, activities are delivered to support entrepreneurship, involving acceleration and incubation infrastructure.

This project, developed by Ruris, set out to create infrastructure and support services for the companies based in the rural business reception area, through the repurposing of the buildings currently at Herdade do Couto da Várzea, which are essential to creating all the conditions needed to support the SMEs operating from this business reception area.

The actions carried out by Ruris were as follows:

• Preparation of the strategy for attracting investment and expanding the Business Reception Area;
• Preparation of the application to the Centro 2020 Business Reception programme (European funding);
• Support in implementing the strategy and supporting the technical team assigned to the project (definition of planning, schedule, deadlines, responsibilities and team tasks, among others);
• Preparation of delivery reports.
