INOVCAST: Innovation and Business Hosting Space

Ruris was involved in the creation of INOVCAST, a strategy for attracting investment with a specialist focus on the agri-food sector, particularly the chestnut and nut sector.

It is anchored in the virtuous triangle of companies – the science and technology system – the public sector, for the development of structuring projects with high added value, drawing on the complementary strengths of each partner organisation and with an impact on the area.

Ruris therefore prepared a strategic plan for creating an incubation space in the urban centre of Trancoso and for attracting investment to the Trancoso business reception area. The following actions were taken to that end:

• Assessment of the current situation;
• SWOT analysis;
• Positioning and differentiation strategy;
• Definition of the actions to be carried out;
• Result indicators;
• Support in preparing and running meetings presenting the business reception area to the official bodies responsible for attracting foreign investment to Portugal;
• Support in preparing and running launch and promotion sessions for the incubator in order to attract entrepreneurs;
• Support in preparing the documents underpinning the operation of the Incubator (e.g. rules, contracts, application forms, etc.);
• Organisation and delivery of an 8-hour capacity-building session for the municipal technical team on managing and coordinating the project;
• Preparation and running of monthly meetings supporting project coordination.
