inspirAÇÃO: Ourém + green

The "inspirAÇÃO: Ourém + verde" project set out to promote networking in order to revitalise the area affected by the 2022 fires, through an integrated strategy for developing the tourism value of the natural heritage of Agroal, located in the joined parishes of Freixianda, Ribeira do Fárrio and Formigais.

Agroal has enormous tourism potential, being part of the PTCON0045 Sicó/Alvaiázere Site of Community Importance, with outstanding natural and environmental value, beside the River Nabão.

Ruris supported this project with the aim of revitalising the natural areas around the Agroal Nature Park, making the area more attractive to tourism by offering a diverse and inclusive tourism offer for visitors.

The actions carried out by Ruris were:

• Preparation of the application:
  • Verification that the application met the eligibility conditions set out in the call, in order to establish its merit;
  • Preparation of the descriptive report;
  • Preparation of the physical and financial schedule;
  • Preparation of the sustainability plan demonstrating the project's continuity;
  • Preparation of the communication and results dissemination plan;
  • Support in preparing the documentation and other mandatory elements of the application;
  • Completion of the application form;
  • Support in preparing any additional clarifications that may be requested during the appraisal and decision on applications;
  • Preparation and delivery of the application dossier in digital format.
• Definition of the "InspirAção: Ourém + Verde" revitalisation plan;
• Planning and structuring of the "InspirAção: Ourém + Verde" Tourism Revitalisation Programme;
• Capacity-building and awareness-raising sessions with 20 tourism operators, through the planning and scheduling of the activities and the delivery of awareness-raising and capacity-building sessions.
