Educational Apiary
About the Project
The "Apiário Pedagógico" (Educational Apiary) was run by Ruris with 12 theory and practical demonstration sessions at the apiary, helping to equip producers to continuously improve their growing practices, as well as reinforcing the dynamism and appeal that these initiatives bring to the southern part of the municipality of Paredes.
Running the Educational Apiary involved the following actions:
- Preparation of the initiative's Code of Standards;
- Support in identifying and planning the investments still to be made at the "Apiário Pedagógico";
- Running of a public session presenting the initiative;
- Appraisal of applications from those interested in taking part in the "Apiário Pedagógico";
- Running of theory and practical demonstration sessions at the apiary;
- Preparation of the technical guidance to be given to beekeepers;
- Answering beekeepers' questions by telephone and online.
