Strategic Plan for Beekeeping
About the Project
Ruris delivered the Strategic Plan for Beekeeping in Mondim de Basto, a document setting out to build a strategic framework for realising the area's potential in beekeeping.
Ruris carried out the following actions:
- Assessment of the current situation:
- A coordination meeting to schedule visits to producers and to the common lands and contacts with the interlocutors previously identified;
- Scheduled visits;
- Processing of the information gathered in the previous steps and preparation of the assessment of the current situation;
- A coordination meeting presenting the assessment of the current situation.
- Preparation of the strategy and Action Plan:
- Definition of the strategy and of the strategic objectives to be achieved for the beekeeping sector;
- Definition of the proposed model for revitalising and restructuring the beekeeping sector and of the action plan for delivering it over 12 months;
- Definition of the proposed model for organising the beekeeping sector and of the action plan for delivering it over 12 months;
- Definition of the proposed model for operating apiaries on the common lands of Mondim de Basto and of the action plan for delivering it over 12 months;
- Definition of the delivery model: technical team to be assigned, and the material, financial and equipment resources needed to implement each of the strategies and action plans referred to above.
