Viseu Rural 2030 Programme
About the Project
Ruris prepared the integrated strategic programme aimed at adding value to the municipality's rural and agri-food economy.
The main actions carried out by Ruris were:
- A review of the delivery of Viseu Rural, based on the analysis and evaluation of the strategy documents/descriptive reports of the projects making up the Viseu Rural programme;
- Assessment and strategic analysis of the current state of rural development in Viseu, in order to define a strategic framework for Viseu Rural for the coming decade capable of responding to current and future challenges;
- Proposal for the Viseu Rural 2030 development strategy;
- Preparation of an innovative action plan to deliver Viseu Rural 2030, building on the work already carried out and harnessing the specialist capacity in place (e.g. Rural Business Reception Areas, Municipal Land Bank, short marketing chains aimed at supplying school canteens).
