Strategic Development Plan for the Agri-food and Tourism Sectors

Ruris carried out a Strategic Analysis of the southern part of the municipality of Paredes (made up of the parishes of Aguiar de Sousa, Cete, Parada de Todeia, Recarei and Sobreira) and put forward a set of actions to stimulate the local economy, particularly in the agri-food and tourism sectors, which were then translated into a realistic development strategy tailored to the area under study.

For this Strategic Analysis, Ruris carried out the following actions:

• Assessment of the development potential of the agri-food and tourism sectors in the four parishes of the southern part of the municipality;
• Socio-economic characterisation of the four parishes;
• Preparation of the baseline assessment, identifying the existing strengths and weaknesses of the agri-food and tourism sectors in the four parishes;
• Creation of working groups to discuss and validate the potential of each parish and to define the strategic actions considered essential to the growth of the agri-food and tourism sectors in those parishes;
• Definition of the strategy to be implemented for the development of the agri-food and tourism sectors in the four parishes;
• Definition of the strategic priorities and objectives;
• Preparation of the 2023 action plan (5 years):
  • Actions to be carried out, objectives, promoters and partners;
  • Schedule;
  • Budget;
  • Performance indicators.
• Public presentation of the Plan in the four parishes.
