Aldeias New Generation: Smart Villages
About the Project
The Aldeias New Generation project came about with the aim of harnessing the tourism, residential and/or productive potential of villages at risk of ageing and population loss, by defining strategies for their revitalisation aligned with the European Union's Smart Villages concept: villages of the future that are more aware, more sustainable, more technological and more efficient.
Ruris carried out the following actions:
- Preparation of an assessment of the area;
- Organisation of working sessions with civil society to consult on and discuss the "Smart Villages do Tâmega e Sousa" integrated development strategy;
- Preparation of the strategic plan for the "Smart Villages do Tâmega e Sousa integrated development strategy to 2030".
