Beira Baixa Cultural

The overall aim of the “Beira Baixa Cultural” project was to develop an integrated tourism promotion strategy positioning the Beira Baixa as a destination of excellence and authenticity for the historic and cultural tourism segment, nationally and internationally, supported by the rich tangible and intangible heritage the region holds.

The project therefore covers setting up, launching and consolidating a sub-regional territorial and institutional network to promote and add value to the distinctive historical, cultural and traditional assets of the Beira Baixa, alongside its rich natural assets, so as to build a diverse, authentic and dynamic tourism offer capable of positioning the Beira Baixa as an attractive destination and strengthening the regional tourism offer.
