Beira Baixa Cultural

Ruris worked on the "Beira Baixa Cultural" project, whose general objective was to develop an integrated tourism promotion strategy so as to position Beira Baixa as a destination of excellence and authenticity for the historical and cultural tourism segment, both nationally and internationally, built on its rich tangible and intangible heritage.

The project therefore involves establishing, launching and consolidating a sub-regional territorial and institutional network aimed at promoting and adding value to the distinctive historical, cultural and traditional assets of Beira Baixa, in keeping with its rich natural assets, so as to structure a diverse, authentic and dynamic tourism offer capable of positioning Beira Baixa as an attractive destination and strengthening the regional tourism offer.

The actions carried out by Ruris were:

• Support in creating routes and staged visits to showcase local culture, history and customs;
• Support in organising the Beira Baixa Arts Festival;
• Support in delivering temporary exhibitions/Beira Baixa in perspective, to bring the sub-region's museums to life;
• Support in designing themed culture and gastronomy workshops;
• Preparation of the final project delivery report.
