5 Municipalities. 5 Cultures. 5 Senses.

Ruris was involved in the "5 Municípios. 5 Culturas. 5 Sentidos" project. Its aim was to develop a cultural programme coordinated between five municipalities of the Centro Region that stand out in cultural terms for their distinctive and exemplary work in the cultural promotion of their areas. Beyond sharing knowledge and experience between municipalities in promoting culture, this cultural programme also sought to strengthen the visibility and distinctiveness of each municipality's cultural and territorial identity.

The municipalities making up this network stand out within the Centro region, and even nationally and internationally, for the artistic and cultural practices they promote and deliver.

The actions carried out by Ruris were:

• Support in preparing and drafting the application;
• Support with the initial planning of the project, monitoring of delivery, and coordination between the partners and service providers;
• Support in preparing documents underpinning public procurement (artistic creation, sound and lighting, travel and accommodation, etc.);
• Monitoring of the physical and financial delivery of the actions and preparation of reports
• of evidence demonstrating compliance with the contracted objectives;
• Support in preparing payment claims and organising the project dossiers.
• Creation of the network's cultural exchange fund;
• Organisation of urban cultural programming, to bring the towns and villages to life in quieter periods;
• Design of an integrated artistic residency programme;
• Development of an integrated programme of cultural initiatives, developed and scheduled as a network with the participating municipalities, drawing on the strengths and talents of each member in delivering artistic and cultural activities, projecting territorial identity and attracting cultural tourism across three different themes (music, dance and theatre);
• Support in staging performances co-produced with the community in each of these areas, resulting in the work being staged as a community performance in each of the municipalities;
• Preparation of the final project delivery report.
