Culture Between Bridges

The “Culture Between Bridges” project sets out to build a cultural network between the municipalities of Sever do Vouga, Oliveira de Frades, São Pedro do Sul and Vouzela — neighbouring territories along the River Vouga that share a vast tangible and intangible heritage which does much to bind them together while keeping each distinctive. Through a networked cultural programme anchored in heritage of high value that identifies the territory and its people, the aim is to generate fresh momentum around its tourism and cultural assets, attracting and retaining visitor flows, raising the territory's profile, and increasing active community participation in development processes and initiatives — strengthening community ties and encouraging citizens to act as the true guardians and ambassadors of that heritage.
