Development Plan for the Baixo Tâmega Agri-food Sector

Ruris delivered the Development Plan for the Agri-food Sector of Baixo Tâmega, which consists, in short, of a forward-looking assessment of the conditions for the development and growth of the agri-food sector in the Baixo Tâmega sub-region, covering the following municipalities: Amarante, Baião, Celorico de Basto and Marco de Canaveses.

The central objective was to develop an integrated strategy aimed at driving the main sectors of the Baixo Tâmega agri-food industry to new levels of competitiveness, based on a smart specialisation strategy in keeping with the specific characteristics of these areas and their players, and enabling greater added value for their products and access to more dynamic markets.
