In short, the Development Plan for the Baixo Tâmega Agri-food Sector is a forward-looking assessment of the conditions for developing and growing the agri-food sector in the Baixo Tâmega sub-region: the municipalities of Amarante, Baião, Celorico de Basto and Marco de Canaveses.

Its central aim is to develop an integrated strategy that takes the main strands of the Baixo Tâmega agri-food sector to new levels of competitiveness, based on a smart specialisation strategy matched to the particularities of the territory and its players, enabling higher added value for its products and access to more dynamic markets.
