Bio-Region Market

This project to create a local market arises from the need for a public space that stimulates the local economy, for the use of local crop, livestock and agri-food producers and of artisans, where they can sell their products directly.

This “anchor space” for the local economy will be organised by product type: one section devoted exclusively to crafts (food products, wood and cork, other arts and crafts) and another to agri-food and fresh produce (olive oil, cereals, fruit and vegetables, milk and dairy, wine and so on).

Alongside the local market itself, the site will bring in two further functions: a space for presenting and launching local products, holding tastings, showcooking events and other promotion and awareness activities; and an information space about the project region, covering its local resources and spa tourism — a Welcome Centre.
