Applications Open Until 10 April for the RegioStars Awards 2017
The call for projects for the RegioStars Awards 2017 was recently launched, with applications open until 10 April.
15 February marked the launch of the RegioStars Awards 2017, celebrating their 10th anniversary this year, by the European Commission Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy, once again with the aim of identifying good practice in Regional Development and highlighting Original and Innovative Projects that can attract and inspire other regions.
After being selected by an independent jury, representatives of the finalist projects will be invited to attend the Awards Ceremony to receive a certificate and a medal, and will be included in a Brochure published by the European Commission (EC), as well as in the online database of good practice on the Inforegio website.
This year's RegioStars Awards ceremony will take place on Tuesday 10 October 2017 during Open Days 2017 – European Week of Regions and Cities.
The winners in each category will receive a RegioStars trophy and a certificate presented by the European Commissioner for Regional Policy and the Chair of the RegioStars Jury. A short video will be produced for each winner, later published online and followed by a promotional campaign on social media.
Applications may be submitted by the regional or local Managing Authority (MA), or by the Project Manager, but with the authorisation of the responsible MA.
