Support measure
Active Mobility (walking and cycling) - ITI CIM
Objective
The Active Mobility (Walking and Cycling) measure, part of the Integrated Territorial Investments of the Inter-municipal Communities (ITI CIM) and funded by the ERDF / Portugal 2030, aims to support the implementation of infrastructure and equipment for soft modes of travel.
Aligned with the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans (PMUS) and each CIM's territorial strategies, the intervention funds the creation and upgrading of continuous, safe and accessible cycling networks and pedestrian corridors, as well as the installation of supporting infrastructure (such as parking and charging points for soft electric mobility).
Its strategic objective is to promote the decarbonisation of daily commuting, improve connectivity to public transport interchanges and consolidate sustainable, safe and inclusive mobility habits across the entire inter-municipal region.
