Green corridors in urban settings - ITI CIM – 2nd Call

Objective

The Green Corridors in Urban Settings instrument, framed within the 2nd Call of the Integrated Territorial Investments of the Inter-municipal Communities (ITI CIM) and funded by the ERDF / Portugal 2030, aims to support public interventions for renaturalisation and environmental enhancement in urban areas.

In line with the Territorial Action Plans of the CIM, the measure funds the creation and expansion of continuous green infrastructure, the recovery of permeable soils, urban tree planting and the implementation of nature-based solutions. Its central objectives are to strengthen ecological connectivity, promote biodiversity in cities, mitigate urban heat islands and upgrade public space, combining environmental protection with the promotion of soft mobility and citizens' wellbeing.

Eligible beneficiaries

Municipalities of the structuring urban centres (national, regional and local) that have contracted with the inter-municipal communities the type of operation covered by this call
