Social Housing in the Norte Region – Priority 5H (IT)

Objective

The Priority 5H – Social Housing measure, part of the Territorial Instruments (IT) of the NORTE 2030 Regional Programme and funded by the ERDF, is designed to support strategic investment in expanding and upgrading the public social housing stock in the Norte Region.

In strict alignment with each municipality's Local Housing Strategy (ELH) and with sub-regional and metropolitan development strategies, the measure funds the construction of new housing solutions, as well as the rehabilitation and acquisition of residential buildings geared towards energy efficiency and environmental sustainability.

Its central objective is to eradicate situations of housing deprivation, combat energy poverty and promote social and territorial cohesion, guaranteeing universal access to decent, affordable housing for the most vulnerable populations of northern Portugal.

Eligible beneficiaries

Municipalities and other bodies, provided their operations fall within the Action Plans of the ITI CIM/AM and are included in the respective Priority Investment Frameworks (QIP) approved by the Managing Authority.
