Urban rehabilitation and regeneration (IT)

Objective

The Urban Rehabilitation and Regeneration measure, part of the Territorial Instruments (IT) and funded by the ERDF / Portugal 2030, aims to support integrated interventions for the physical, environmental and social upgrading of urban centres and consolidated areas. Aligned with the Sustainable Territorial Development Strategies, the measure funds the rehabilitation of public space, the recovery and functional adaptation of the public built heritage and the enhancement of the urban environment.

Its central objective is to revitalise urban centres, promote the sustainability and energy efficiency of the building stock, stimulate economic activity and local commerce, and strengthen social cohesion and the territory's attractiveness for residents and visitors.
