THE ASSOCIATION OF MONTALEGRE SMOKED MEAT PRODUCERS HOLDS ITS 3rd PRODUCERS' MEETING

On 24 August, at 10:30am, at the Montalegre Multipurpose Hall, the 3rd Producers' Meeting will take place, aimed at promoting business cooperation and coopetition as part of the delivery of the project Montalegre Smoked Meats – Cooperating to compete and develop. The 3rd Producers' Meeting includes an information session run by ASAE on “Good hygiene and manufacturing practice for Montalegre Smoked Meats and the relevant legal framework”.
The session is aimed at producers of Montalegre Smoked Meats and will be attended by Fernando Santos Pereira, Deputy Inspector-General of ASAE, and António Lima, Chief Inspector at ASAE UOIII/Mirandela, who will address the topic above.
The initiative stems from an application approved under the Norte 2020 Collective Actions Incentive Scheme and will run until January 2019, in Montalegre. The project is promoted by the Association of Smoked Meat Producers of Terra Fria Barrosã, in partnership with Montalegre Town Council, with the aim of increasing the competitiveness and value of the smoked meats sector, encouraging cooperation between operators and raising levels of innovation in production and marketing processes.
