Montalegre Smoked Meat Producers’ Association Holds 2nd Study Visit
On 6 November, the 2nd Study Visit will take place, aimed at promoting business cooperation and coopetition as part of the delivery of the project Montalegre Smoked Meats – Cooperating to compete and develop.
The Study Visit is aimed at producers of Montalegre Smoked Meats and includes a visit to the company Bísaro – Salsicharia Tradicional in Gimonde, Bragança, with the aim of gathering information on good practice in the sector.

The initiative stems from an application approved under the Norte 2020 Collective Actions Incentive Scheme and will run until January 2019, in Montalegre. The project is promoted by the Association of Smoked Meat Producers of Terra Fria Barrosã, in partnership with Montalegre Town Council, with the aim of increasing the competitiveness and value of the smoked meats sector, encouraging cooperation between operators and raising levels of innovation in production and marketing processes.
