Mountain Olive Oil Promotion and Valorisation Project Presented in Guarda

On Tuesday 24 October, from 9am, the Guarda Municipal Theatre hosts the presentation conference for the project “Promotion and Valorisation of Mountain Olive Oils”. This project seeks to be a strategy grounded in capitalising on scientific and technological knowledge within the business fabric of the Mountain Olive Oils sector, and is driven by the Castelo Branco Polytechnic Institute (IPCB) and the Guarda Polytechnic Institute (IPG), in partnership with the Inter-municipal Community of Beiras e Serra da Estrela (CIM BSE) and the Beira Interior Plant Biotechnology Centre.

Beyond the formal presentation of the project, the conference will also feature a varied set of papers of particular relevance to the sector, grouped under the themes of Olive Growing, Olive Oil, and Product Image and Production, in an event intended to bring people together and mobilise the sector, punctuated by several spaces for debate.
